Pioneer Square

Pioneer Square Pergola

Pioneer Square Pergola

Pioneer Square is in the southwest corner of downtown.  The neighborhood takes its name from a small triangular plaza near the corner of First Avenue and Yesler Way.

This neighborhood is great for daytime walking, with shops, cafes, coffee houses, galleries and spectacular waterfront views.

Night time can be sketchy but fun for adventurous singles. Lots of bars and music…but watch where you park and try not to walk alone.

International Fountain at The Seattle Center

Located in the middle of the Seattle Center’s lawn, this fountain boasts 274 water shooters, including four “super shooters” that can propel water to a height of 120 feet. And all of the waterworks are set to music. Depending when you arrive, it could be Beethoven, Duke Ellington, or Jimi Hendrix. And best of all, you are encouraged to play in the water.

Fremont Sunday Street Market

400 N 34th St
(between N Phinney Ave & Canal St)

This is one of the best Sunday markets in Seattle especially for crafts and flea market. It is a great neighborhood to spend the day walking around. The market has street vendor food, some of which is excellent. Also nearby the outdoor market are many other shops and eateries.
